The standing calf raise on the Powertec Multi System is as good as any high end stand alone calf raise. The movement is super smooth and you can really pile the weight plates on. In this video Brad goes through how to perform this exercise properly and discusses different lifting techniques. He also details how you can target different areas of the calf muscle.
The Powertec Leverage Bench Press movement is one of the best chest exercises going around. You can really load up the machine and drive out some heavy weights to increase your strength. If you want to build some muscle you can really isolate the muscle with some lighter weights and really concentrate on your form. This video shows Brad working through the flat bench press, incline bench press and decline bench press. Make sure you watch the video on the shoulder pressing because Brad discusses the different lifting techniques that you can use to add even more variety to your weight training.

There are some great additional back exercises that can be performed on the Powertec Multi System. The lat pulldown and leverage row shown in the previous video are great for basic and intermediate training. Brad Turnbull explains why he chose the Powertec Multi System. If the Powertec Multi System is good enough for Brad then it is going to satisfy nearly all serious weight trainers. Brad has been training for 17 years and has been runner up IFBB Mr Australia so he is a fair judge of the effectiveness of gym equipment. The Powertec Multi System does not have a dedicated leg curl station. However after playing around with machine we came up with the standing leg curl and Brad goes through how to perform this exercise with correct form. This is a great exercise to add to your leverage squats to give you greater leg development. (more…)
Brad goes through how to do leg extensions with correct form on the Powertec Multi System. You will notice that he does not use a lot of weight in this demonstration but goes to failure. Squats are one of, if not the best weight lifting exercise around. The only problem with them is a lot of people hate doing them. They are hard work. Leverage Squats on the Powertec Multi System is makes squatting easier as it takes a lot of load off the back and knees.
