IFBB Australian Championships Contest Preparation

Here is Brad Turnbull’s contest preparation update for the IFBB Australian Championships that we had in our Sept 2008 newsletter.

Contest Preparation
I also asked Brad to give us an update of his contest preparation for the IFBB Australian Championships in October.
He is down to 89kgs at 6% bodyfat – which is bloody impressive for a bloke Brad’s height. So he will be giving the title a fair shake.

Brad’s diet at this stage of the preparation is:
Meal 1
2/3 cup of oats 50g of whey

Meal 2
300g of chicken breast cup of mixed vegies

Meal 3
3 slice of mountain bread
425g tin of tuna all wrap up with salad

Meal 4
Pre workout
50g of whey 20ml MCT oil

Meal 5
After workout
60g of vitargo 50g of whey

Meal 6
250g of roo meat with vegies

Brad is doing cardio 1 hour before meal 1 and 30-40mins after his workout 4-5 days a week.

With all the protein that Brad is eating he has to drink upwards of 4L of water a day to flush his kidneys.

As you can see there is a bit of work involved in preparing for a competition. Plus that menu definitely does not make my mouth water. We will keep you updated on Brad’s progress.
