It is with great pleasure I announce that Sam’s Fitness is supporting the Country Classic Invitational Bodybuilding Show. The show is on Sat 1st August at the Capital Theatre in Bendigo. What I like about this show is that there isn’t hundreds of categories so you get guys and girls of different heights and weights competing head to head.

Unfortunately I don’t think I will be able to make it to the show this year as I have just got too much happening at the moment. Lucky I will be able to read all about it in my favourite muscle mag Hardcore Aussie Muscle. There will be a 10 page feature of the event and the Open Men’s winner will be on the front cover.

One thing that disappoints me with some bodybuilding shows is that there are too many classes. There is height, weight, sports model etc etc and the day can drag on. Plus there may only be a handful of competitors. If you chose your class right you could rock up with your beer gut and budgie smugglers and pick up a placing!

This head to head competition means there is no debate after the show as to if the winner of the u/90kgs was better than the u/80kgs - so hats off to all the competitors who are getting up on stage to battle it out.

So if you are a weight trainer or bodybuilder anyway near Bendigo get along and support this great show. There is plenty of other entertainment on offer - like AC/DC tribute band “Thunderstruck” - so if you haven’t been to a bodybuilding show before it will be a great first introduction to the sport.
