Space Saver Gym Equipment Package Deal - Basic & Intermediate Weight Training
This is a great little video of Brad going through just some of the exercises that can be done on the Space Saver package for Basic & Intermediate Weight Training. If you thought you didn’t have room for a home gym then you should really check this video out. This gym equipment package offers a great full body workout with plenty of scope for variation with a minimal footprint. If later on you have more space and want to expand your home gym, you just need to add another piece or two of gym equipment like the Powertec Power Rack, Ironmaster IM2000, Powertec Leverage Gym. You don’t need to sell your original kit and start all over again like a lot of compact home gyms.
It might not look like you get much variety with this gym equipment package but once you start going through all the quality exercises that you can perform you will realise this set up has more exercises than some home gyms that are double the price. I previously wrote an article on dumbbell training with the Ironmaster Quick Lock Dumbbells which showed what you can do with just a pair of adjustable dumbbells.
This gym equipment goes further and the addition of the Ironmaster Super Bench and Ironmaster Attachments just adds more quality exercises. I actually trained on this home gym package when I first started the business. At the stage I had not settled on a warehouse location and was living in a townhouse that did not have much room. I had stopped my gym membership so I set up the Ironmaster Quick Lock Dumbbells and Ironmaster Super Bench plus attachments and got started.
Initially you are a bit lost. I was used to training in a gym that had multiple pieces of gym equipment for each body part. So I had to basically start a new program from scratch. But once I worked out what exercises I would do for each body part I was on my way. I actually found the training tougher because I was doing all free weight work instead using machines. For example doing chin ups instead of lat pulldowns, one arm dumbbell rows instead of seated rows.
Also training legs was a lot different too. I used to do barbell squats. Doing dumbbell squats I found that my grip and shoulders fatigued quicker than my quads. I fixed this easily by doing lunges first and then with finishing dumbbells squats. The first time I did this I nearly threw up so I knew it was working.
