Bench Pressing on the Powertec Multi System
The Powertec Leverage Bench Press movement is one of the best chest exercises going around. You can really load up the machine and drive out some heavy weights to increase your strength. If you want to build some muscle you can really isolate the muscle with some lighter weights and really concentrate on your form. This video shows Brad working through the flat bench press, incline bench press and decline bench press. Make sure you watch the video on the shoulder pressing because Brad discusses the different lifting techniques that you can use to add even more variety to your weight training.
Don’t listen to the crap that machine training is no good and only free weights work. Free weights may work better for some weight training goals but that does not mean that machine training doesn’t work. The advantage the leverage chest press has over a traditional barbell bench press is that you can push to the absolute limit because you have no safety issues of being trapped under the barbell. This is even more important if you are training in a home gym by yourself. If you want to supplement your leverage bench press training with some free weight work you can just use some dumbbells or even some push ups. That way you can get the best of both worlds without having to fork out for more gym equipment. This video is also applicable to the Powertec Leverage Gym and Leverage Multi Press
