Here is my suggestion for a home gym for the weight trainer looking for something special. I think the Powertec Leverage Gym and the Powertec Power Rack complement each other perfectly, here’s why:
• You get a good mix of machine leverage training and free weight barbell work.
• For strength and power use the Power Rack for squats. I have a bad knee which plays up after a while from free weight squats, so I use the squat on the Leverage Gym to do high rep/light weight work. Plus the Leverage Squat really isolates the quads and takes the load off the knees.
• The Leverage Gym has the high and low pulley so you don’t need the Lat Tower Option on the power cage.
• I like doing supersets and giant sets. You can get some crackers going with this combo.
• I like back exercises. You can do the free weight favourites. Plus I like the additional back exercises that you can do on the Powertec multi gym.
• The Powertec Leverage Gym comes standard with the leg lift attachment so you can do leg extensions and lying leg curls.
