
Front squats are great alternative or variation for traditional barbell squats. They are great for isolating the quads and taking a bit of the load off the old back.
The only problem with performing these is that supporting the barbell on your chest can be a bit tricky. I must admit that this was the reason that I only performed these on a smith machine when I used to train in a gym.
Just like the Manta Ray Squat Device, the Sting Ray not only makes front squats more comfortable by dispersing the load of the barbell. It also makes holding the whole show in place a lot easier.
